Safety is our number one priority and we always strive to be safe in all we do. As a member of Civil Air Patrol, you are required to attend a safety talk at least once per month. We conduct these during our monthly senior meeting.

If you cannot attend the senior meeting, you may review one of the safety topics published by the wing. Make sure you record which topic you reviewed on the form provided. Visit the safety section of the NH wing web site to access these publications.

CAP pilots and drivers are reminded to submit the appropriate monthly safety brief form on the safety section of the NH wing web site to record their attendance or review of the safety topics.

Safety Pledge

The national commander has revised the CAP safety pledge and introduced a 12-point safety program in March 2005. The following pledge should be recited at the beginning of all CAP activities.

As a Civil Air Patrol member I pledge to promote an uncompromising safety environment for myself and others, and to prevent the loss of, or damage to Civil Air Patrol assets entrusted to me. I will perform all my activities in a professional and safe manner, and will hold myself accountable for my actions in all of our Missions for America.

Complete details on the 12-point program are available in the March issue of the Sentinel.
